ABOUT ERINA MITHA
Hi, my name is Erina! I\'m a go-getter who loves solving problems, taking initiative, and thinking strategically to make an impact. I\'m currently pursuing a double major in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at Western University, graduating in December 2026. I also plan to sit for my CFA Level I exam in May 2026. During my 8-month internship as a Market Risk analyst at Cenovus, I’ve had the opportunity to turn curiosity into impact. Though hired primarily for my quantitative skills, I proactively sought out commercial and financial projects beyond my role. I identified nearly $1M in potential annual saving for the company and solidified my passion for strategic problem-solving and operational optimization. In August 2022, I became a published author with my book \"Hindsight Reflections\", which features all of my own poetry and illustrations. 🤝 I am the Founder of a non-profit: the Math Bridge Outreach Program. Through this program, I organized o10+ talks, personally delivering 70% of them, and had the privilege of speaking to students to high school students across London, Ontario. I served as President of AWM Western for the maximum term limit of 2 years, where I had the opportunity to strengthen my leadership and collaboration skills, organizing 15+ events, overseeing a team of 20+ people, and doubled club membership every year that I led. Over the school year, I work as Technical Support for Connect-IT at Western University where I am constantly applying the knowledge I have acquired from my Computer Science degree. As Vice President of Finance & Strategy of SpeakWestern, I had the chance to combine my love of public speaking and business. In high school, I presented in speech competitions at the national level, so getting to reconnect with this passion of mine has been a dream. I aspire to one day give a TEDx Talk. In my free time I enjoy lifting, boxing, and playing soccer. Feel free to message me through LinkedIn for inquiries or opportunities—I look forward to connecting!
