ABOUT ERIN BROWN

As Executive Director of Inspiring Girls USA, I am passionate about breaking gender stereotypes and empowering girls to dream big. Our nonprofit connects young girls with diverse and inspiring women role models, sparking meaningful conversations about their futures. As part of the global Inspiring Girls International network operating in nearly 40 countries, we are creating a movement to raise aspirations and broaden possibilities for the next generation. My career journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to social impact and international development. I’ve worked across four continents, collaborating with a European startup, managing projects for the World Bank in Asia and the Pacific, and partnering with nonprofits addressing local and global challenges. My expertise spans strategic operations, project implementation, and evaluation—focusing on poverty alleviation, social justice, and advancing equity for women and girls. I’m a proud first-generation college graduate from a small Midwestern town, holding an M.S. in International and Development Economics from the University of San Francisco and a B.S. in Economics from the University of South Dakota. In late 2023, I relocated to the greater Seattle area, where I live with my spouse and twin sons.
