ABOUT ERIN ZELT

I am a trauma-informed mental health therapist and doctoral student in Counselor Education & Supervision with over a decade of experience working across complex and high-acuity systems, including forensic hospitals, inpatient and residential settings, child and family services, and remote group-based care.My work centers on trauma, nervous system regulation, and meaning-making after adverse experiences. I integrate EMDR, DBT, expressive and art-based modalities, and trauma-informed care, with an emphasis on safety, attunement, and holding complexity without rushing toward solutions.Across clinical, leadership, and educational roles, I am often described as a steady and grounding presence — someone who brings clarity and calm to environments shaped by crisis, chronic stress, or long histories of harm. My background includes facilitating therapeutic groups, supporting clinicians, and contributing to trauma-informed initiatives within large systems of care.In addition to clinical practice, I am interested in education, scholarship, and creative forms of healing and communication. This includes reflective writing, trauma-informed psychoeducation, and guided audio or narrative work that supports regulation, insight, and connection.I am open to opportunities and collaborations aligned with thoughtful, integrative care; trauma-informed leadership; and work that values both rigor and humanity.
