ABOUT ERIN-ROSE MORRIS

I am a highly ambitious and dedicated First-Year Law (LLB) student at the University of Exeter, with a keen academic interest in the intersection between law and politics. I am actively seeking legal and political work experience, Mini-Pupillages and shadowing opportunities to further inform my career progression. My commitment to advocacy can be demonstrated through my active participation in Mock Court Trials and Mooting, developing crucial skills in legal research, public speaking and argumentation. As an aspiring legal professional, I have joined a number of academic societies, such as The Law Society, Women and Law Society, the Debating Society and I have joined the Student Newspaper, Exepose, as a content writer. Within the first 2 months of Law School and after a successful campaign, I was elected as the Freshers’ Representative for the Debating Society, where I serve as the voice for all first year students on the society, showcasing proactive leadership and strong communication skills. Additionally, I serve as an Academic Representative for the Law School, whereby I collate feedback from my peers and share this with Department Officers in order to improve the student experience. I successfully balance these commitments with a part-time retail position and participation in the University’s Cheerleading and Gymnastics teams, highlighting my discipline, time-management and team-working abilities.
