Erin Fogarty Owen is a strategic communications advisor and the president of Clarity Channels Communications, where she works with mission-driven organizations to bring clarity, alignment, and discipline to how they communicate. In 2024, she launched The EO Report, a weekly newsletter focused on strategic communications.Her work draws on a unique combination of experience across higher education, national news, and government, shaping how she helps organizations define their narrative, strengthen their brand foundations, and build communications strategies that support short and long-term goals. She was part of the team recognized with the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism.Owen began her career in public service at the United States Senate, serving on Senator Bob Kerrey’s staff in Washington, D.C, where she advanced into communications leadership roles and helped lead national political and media initiatives.Based in Omaha, Nebraska, she has served on multiple community boards, including Duchesne Academy and Project Harmony, where she chaired both organizations. She holds a B.S. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Kansas and an MFA in Writing from UNO.
