About Erin Murphy
I am a creative and energetic problem solver with a passion for my work at Aurora, designing software products for key players in the energy transition. I also continue to my work with Change Code, and I believe that blockchain has the power to transform economies, driving financial inclusion and viable economic opportunities for people who have been left behind by the current financial order. Before attending Wharton, I spent most of my career in the international development aid sector. Throughout my time at UNC studying international relations and journalism, my time as a Fulbright Scholar in Moldova, and my experience living and working in Ukraine, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Nepal, India, and the Czech Republic, I was heavily involved in human rights policy work. I have performed extensive research and written policy and programming in the following areas: prevention of civilian-targeted violence, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, improved human trafficking legislation and monitoring, domestic and gender-based violence prevention, girls’ education promotion, education and sanitation for refugees and internally displaced persons, media development in post-conflict regions, and various other development initiatives in Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Burma, Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, India and Nepal.In my spare time, I love traveling, trekking, reading, running, cycling, kayaking, scuba diving, and extreme sports like skydiving and paragliding. I am also a certified Sivananda Yoga teacher.
