Specialty pharmacist for MVHS Pulmonary & Critical Care Group. I work in the pulmonology office alongside pulmonologists and intensivists to manage our patients\' disease states collaboratively. I investigate insurance formularies and overcome hurdles in coverage by submitting prior authorizations and appeals. I enroll patients in copay cards, foundations, and patient assistance programs to lower out-of-pocket cost and eliminate financial burden. I specialize in interstitial lung disease (i.e. pulmonary fibrosis), asthma, and COPD. I provide injection technique education to patients initiating biologic therapy. In addition to specialty medications, I clinically follow asthma and COPD patients utilizing inhalers through frequent check-ins. Financial assistance is offered to ensure they can afford and adhere to their therapy regimens to keep their chronic conditions from progressing and prevent hospitalizations.
