San Diego for Every Child is a countywide, coalition effort aimed at ending the experience of child poverty across San Diego. As the founding director of this initiative, I oversee the budget, all operations, communications and outreach, board relations, strategic planning, and implementation. I focus on elevating the policy advocacy, strategic coalitions, and elevating the learnings from our launch of the first guaranteed income project in San Diego. I also serve as Chief Optimist; our goal is an ambitious one-to cut the experience of child poverty in San Diego County in half by 2030. But with a broad coalition and a targeted effort, together we are getting there.
ABOUT ERIN HOGEBOOM
Skilled director and practitioner, with eighteen years combined experience in fieldwork and academia. Holds professional and instructional experience in five countries concentrating on natural resource management, women\'s and LGBTQ rights, sustainability, agricultural development, health, and education. More than ten years specialization in research, program implementation, and information sharing across governmental and non-governmental sectors. Multilingual, highly skilled in cross-cultural, interpersonal communication, and trained in mediation through the New York Peace Institute.
