About Erin Gannon
I am a healthcare attorney with a rare combination of legal practice, bioethics scholarship, and hands-on regulatory experience across clinical, academic, and industry settings. Currently an Associate Attorney at Morrison Mahoney LLP, I advise health system clients on regulatory adherence, institutional liability, and compliance with federal and state healthcare requirements. My prior work at Dovetail Consulting focused on designing end-to-end privacy compliance programs (HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR) and advising health science companies on the regulatory frameworks governing clinical trial operations. My MS in Bioethics from Harvard Medical School, including a thesis on autonomy challenges in orphan drug trials, gives me a foundation that goes beyond legal compliance into the ethical dimensions of research, patient rights, and institutional integrity. I bring that perspective to every regulatory question I work on. Areas of focus: • Healthcare regulatory compliance (CMS, OIG, state licensing) • Research ethics, IRB frameworks, and 45 CFR 46• Privacy program design: HIPAA · CCPA · GDPR • Clinical trial regulatory frameworks and sponsor obligations • NDA/MTA drafting and negotiation • OIG/PhRMA compliance and ethics investigations Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. U.S. Healthcare Compliance Certificate (Seton Hall Law). Published in the Journal of Medical Sociology & Public Health (2025)
