ABOUT ERIN EASTON

I grew up in upstate New York and moved to Ohio where I attended Ohio University for my bachelor’s degree in Education and Franklin University for her MBA. I partners with the local community organizations, K12 schools, and businesses to determine needs and training. Prior to my current role, I spent 12 years in career college administration and worked as the Business Engagement manager at the Cape Fear Workforce Development Board. Mycareer focus has been on training and development, building business and community relationships, and increasing education access for underserved populations. Since moving to Wilmington in 2014, I have worked closely with local businesses to understand training and hiring needs. I formed the Cape Fear Manufacturing Partnership, am a member of the state’s REACH Network (Racial Equity for Adult Credentials in Higher Education), participate on the steering committee for NCCAT’s (North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching) CTE Teacher of the Year, was named an influencer by WilmingtonBiz 100 in 2021, and was a graduate of the 2023 class of Leadership Wilmington. I strives to be involved, understand, and positively impact the local community through my work. Engaging with stakeholders throughout the community to enhance access to training and education is my passion.
