ABOUT ERIN CAFARELLI

As the Chief Development and Public Relations Officer, I provide leadership and oversight of all Development Office initiatives, including fundraising, communications, advocacy, and public policy efforts and events. In partnership with the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors, I am tasked with designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising plan that increases revenue by cultivating, soliciting and stewarding philanthropic support from individuals, corporations and foundations; creating and managing a communications strategy that is aligned with the mission, vision and values of the organization; cultivating partnerships with external stakeholders including media, elected officials, businesses and nonprofits to support broader brand awareness and growth opportunities; and implementing advocacy efforts with local, state and federal elected officials.In my volunteer roles, I currently serve on the board of The Chamber Foundation, am a member of The Chamber Foundation\'s Executive Leadership Programming Committee, Non Profit Committee, and serve as Co-Chair of the Scholarship Committee. I am a member of the Community Impact Council and a Grant Reviewer for the United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region. Previously, I served on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Hudson Valley Chapter.A long-time Dutchess County resident, I received a BA in History from Marist College and an AA in Liberal Arts and Humanities from Dutchess Community College. I am a 2010 graduate of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Dutchess program. I am a 2020 graduate of The Chamber Foundation\'s Executive Leadership Program. In 2011, I received the Forty Under 40 Shaker Award from the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce. In 2021, I received the Athena Award from The Chamber Foundation.
