ABOUT ERIN BELFIELD
I worked as a patent classifier at Serco for five years, and my work lead me to take the leap into law school at Pitt Law. I\'m now happily employed at Venable LLP.I have extensive experience with the Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) system; I\'ve classified thousands of patents across various fields including organic compounds, polymers, and pharmaceuticals. I also was a leader of the biochemical working group, a panel that worked with the USPTO and EPO during the transition from USPC to CPC.I have recently passed the patent bar. I\'m looking forward to beginning my career at Venable.
