About Erik Hansen

I am currently the Senior Site Director at the Thornton, Colorado Target Food Distribution Center. I started in Summer 2025 to build out the site team in preparation for our April 2026 launch. Thornton will be Target’s 9th Food Distribution Center, and the first full fledged Consolidation site within our Supply Chain. This is my second launch of a new facility for Target, having previously launched a new Target node type, the Flow Center in Chicago. Our Thornton FDC will service 130 stores, across 11 states, while also servicing all 8 of the other FDC’s within our network.I previously served as the Replenishment Operations Director at our newest replenishment node type in Chicago. I oversaw the non-perishable dry goods replenishment of 33 Target stores in the Chicago land area ranging from small format localized stores to $70+ Million large format Target’s. My first role in Chicago when we launched in 2021 was serving as the Senior Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager in Chicago. Prior to that, I held the titles of Inbound Senior Operations Manager, Production Controller, and Outbound Operations Manager over the course of 6 years in Columbus, OhioPrior to my time with Target, I attended college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, achieving a major in Political Science and minor in History, while graduating in 3.5 years. In 2019, I successfully completed my Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt education through The Ohio State University.
