About Erik Roberts
Erik is Senior Vice President, Purchasing, for Procter & Gamble’s largest business sector, Fabric & Home Care, which includes many of P&G’s most iconic brands: Tide, Ariel, Downy, Gain, Dawn, Cascade, Febreze, and Swiffer, and represents roughly one-third of company sales and net earnings. He leads the sector’s global purchasing organization and P&G Chemicals, the company’s global oleochemicals manufacturing business. In this role, he is responsible for fueling business growth through strategic sourcing, supplier-enabled innovation, a synchronized end-to-end supply chain, and disciplined productivity—balancing shareholder value with long-term resilience, quality, service, and sustainable, responsible sourcing. An agile, innovative, and collaborative leader, he translates expertise in people, processes, and systems into measurable top- and bottom-line impact. What began as an interest in chemical engineering evolved into a thriving career as a multi-functional executive and finance leader at P&G. After earning a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, he joined P&G as a Senior Finance Manager and enjoyed multiple roles that spanned finance, marketing, sales, media, and general management. In 2022, he made a cross-functional pivot to Purchasing and now serves as Senior Vice President—bringing deep P&L ownership and operational rigor to strategic sourcing and supplier-enabled innovation. Throughout his career, he has been known for revamping underperforming business units, driving transformations, increasing sales, improving profitability, and mentoring the business leaders of tomorrow. A balanced, analytical, and energizing leader, Erik is known for strategic planning, accessible and supportive leadership, and a relentless focus on growth and transformation. He represents P&G on the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. ACI is the U.S. trade association for the cleaning products industry—bringing together manufacturers and ingredient suppliers to advance science-based safety, sustainability, and public policy. Outside of his P&G role, Erik also serves on the Board of Directors of Findlay Market, Cincinnati’s historic public market and civic anchor, supporting local entrepreneurship, food access, and community development.
