Erik is a seasoned national security, technology, foreign affairs, and Japan policy professional. In his roles at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and Department of Energy (DOE), Erik has been at the forefront of innovation policy, foreign investment policy through the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and the U.S. role in the Indo-Pacific. He has worked on five international Presidential and Vice Presidential visits and speaks Japanese.
