Peer Counselor – Stage IV Breast Cancer ThriversAs a Peer Counselor with Friend for Life Cancer Support Network, I provide compassionate, one-on-one support to individuals living with stage IV breast cancer. Drawing from my own lived experience, I walk alongside fellow thrivers as they navigate the physical, emotional, and social challenges of advanced cancer.My role focuses on: • Offering empathetic listening and emotional support in a safe, non-judgmental space. • Sharing practical tools and personal insight to help individuals manage the realities of stage IV. • Encouraging resilience, hope, and empowerment by validating each person’s unique journey. • Connecting thrivers with resources, community, and peer networks that foster belonging and understanding.This position allows me to use both my personal experience and advocacy to ensure no one faces the complexities of advanced breast cancer alone.
