About Erika Keaveney
Erika Keaveney is an applied researcher and evaluator with over a decade of experience using statistical modeling, causal inference techniques, and mixed-methods approaches to drive insights for programs and policy. She has provided both technical and managerial oversight for high-profile research initiatives funded by the U.S. Department of Labor (DoL), U.S. Department of State (DoS), USAID, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS), Freedom Fund, International Growth Centre, and MIT/J-PAL. She leads all phases of the research and evaluation lifecycle—from study design, power analysis, sampling, and instrument development, to data collection management, data cleaning, mixed-methods analysis, participatory results validation, and dissemination. In her current role at NORC, she directs experimental and quasi-experimental impact evaluations, mixed-methods performance evaluations, large-scale surveys and assessments, prevalence studies, qualitative case studies, landscape assessments, secondary data reviews, outcome harvests, realist evaluations, and evaluability assessments for the Global division. Previously, she was a Program Director at Social Impact, co-leading the impact evaluation division and serving as lead researcher on education, labor, and welfare/livelihoods studies. She also worked as a field-based Research Manager for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Africa and served as Executive Director of a nonprofit supporting vulnerable women and children in Asia. Keaveney holds a social sciences MA from Stanford University and a political science BA from the University of California - San Diego.
