I am General Counsel at Dr. Squatch, a fast-growing natural men’s personal care line that – as you may remember from the company’s 2021 Superbowl ad – targets “men who build things, open pickle jars on the first try, slay dragons, and let their daughters braid their hair.” As an experienced in-house attorney specializing in advising brand-focused, growth-stage challeger brands with strong IP portfolios and viral marketing content, my career has centered on building and leading legal departments through periods of significant growth and strategic preparation. At Faze Clan, I ran the legal department as it expanded from a 25-person start-up through multiple financing rounds to its IPO. Subsequently, at Boardriders, a private equity-owned company, I managed legal operations for Quiksilver and DC Shoes, playing a key role in the company\'s successful sale in 2023. Most recently, as General Counsel at Dr. Squatch, a rapidly scaling natural personal care brand, I have led initiatives in litigation strategy, risk mitigation, and corporate governance, focused on protecting brand assets and driving operational efficiencies.
