About Erika Calderon

Erika D. Calderon is a dedicated professional in the field of behavior analysis, currently serving as the Regional Director of Central Florida and Highlands for Full Spectrum Behavioral Analysis. In this role, Erika oversees multiple districts to ensure the delivery of high-quality care, efficient utilization of resources, and effective support for staff. She has played a crucial part in the large-scale expansion of services in a major metropolitan region while maintaining a personal caseload of over 20 clients.Erika completed her M.A. in Special Education at Ball State University with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis, graduating in May 2020. Prior to this, she worked as a lead behavior therapist at a nonprofit autism service center and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Child Advocacy from the Florida Institute of Technology. With experience dating back to 2011, Erika has worked extensively with young children affected by Autism and obtained her Registered Behavior Technician credential in 2015.As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since May 2020 and a qualified supervisor within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Erika has extensive experience implementing behavior analytic programs and applying research-based interventions, including functional communication training and naturalistic behavior interventions.Erika is particularly focused on applying the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to at-risk youth and equipping educators with effective, evidence-based practices. After living in the Midwest since 2015, she moved back to Florida in 2020 and is currently entering her second year of a Ph.D. program in Behavior Analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.Erika believes that every student can be successful given the right context, regardless of their upbringing, and that every student deserves access to compassionate leadership, adequate support, and enrichment.“Commitment isn’t about being perfect, always following through, or never going astray.
