ABOUT ERIKA JORDAN
My dream is to become an Environmental Scientist and Researcher and work for an organization that believes in making a positive change in the world through Environmental Activism and Community Education. The first step I took to jumpstart my career was becoming a Project Management intern at YearUp United during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. Over the course of 11 months, I learned Project Management and Business Fundamentals and used tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Asana as a Project Manager intern at Workday. In 2022, I went back to college to major in Environmental Science along with Project Management, Geography, and GIS. Being a college student has presented so many opportunities for me. I hope to complete my Associate of Science, transfer to the University of California, and complete a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management. In addition to being a STEM student at Chabot College, I have a robust, well-rounded experience in customer satisfaction, communications, teaching, and facilitation. My experience has helped me gain the necessary skills needed in the working environment and gain professional experience from teaching kids to play the violin to office administrative skills. In all that I do, I aspire to work to my full potential for the success of the company and those around me. While always remembering to be kind, honest, full of integrity, and a life-long learner.
