ABOUT ERIKA MARAN

I am a 47-year-old Italian entrepreneur, strategic consultant, counselor, and President of Vicenza Women’s Football Club, one of the longest-running women’s football clubs in Italy. I am among the very few women worldwide leading a professional football club, combining sport, business, education, and cultural diplomacy.My career began as an executive secretary in a chartered accountants’ firm in Vicenza while studying at university. Thanks to dedication and ambition, I became partner and CEO of the firm’s service company, gaining strong expertise in management, strategic planning, and organizational development. Today, I work as a strategic consultant for businesses and professionals, helping organizations innovate and grow, while also practicing as a counselor, guiding individuals and teams through change with an empathetic approach.Since 2021, I have led VWFC, driving a transformation that turned the club into an ecosystem of growth and innovation. Under my guidance, VWFC has: • A First Team competing in Serie B with ambitions for Serie A. • A youth sector with 100+ players (U7–U19). • A professional staff of coaches, medical experts, mental coaches, and nutritionists. • Innovative programs for injury prevention, nutrition, and mental well-being. • A global communication campaign, “Reframe The Game”, with strong media growth (+57% reach on Instagram in 90 days).With the 2025 entry of Aix Capital Holdings UK, the club secured financial stability and international networks, strengthening its path toward professionalism and global partnerships. Alongside sport, I launched major infrastructure projects: the redevelopment of the Baracca Training Center, the expansion of Grisignano Stadium, the creation of a Women’s Football Hub, and the Isola Vicentina Multisport Center (under construction).Beyond VWFC, I hold important institutional roles: • Board Member of Apindustria Confimi Vicenza, representing SMEs. • Member of the Women’s Group and Schools Group. • President of the Provincial Equal Opportunities Commission of Vicenza, promoting gender equity and inclusion.My leadership is guided by one belief: sport, business, and institutions must work together to create empowerment and equal opportunities. I strongly believe that every girl — like every young professional — must know that her talent has space, dignity, and a future.My goal is to continue to grow VWFC as a model of innovation, complete the Isola Vicentina Multisport Center, and expand programs that connect sport, culture, education, and equality — from Vicenza to the world.
