ABOUT ERIKA LOPEZ FRANCO
Researcher and Strategy Advisor with over 10 years of experience, in the not-for-profit and private sectors. I have led research across Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia. I have used interviews, field visits, co-design workshops, focus groups, usability testing, surveys, diary studies, and design sprints to ensure strategies, policies and digital products/services are user-centred. As UX Researcher at YouTube, I scoped, planned, executed, and communicated findings from 20+ studies with users in South Korea, India and the US. I led an influential, multi-study research program in South Korea, central to agile product development and informing strategy based on unique users\' needs and market dynamics. To select methods, and guarantee research impact and value I assess the organizational goals and strategy, the context, and users’ realities. As a strong communicator, I share data-driven storytelling using multiple formats to guarantee insights reach the right audiences.Connection, collaboration, empathy and inclusion drive my practice.
