My role includes both management of the data engineering team at Car Finance 247 (management and prioritisation of requests, line management, hiring for new members, mentoring junior members of the team) and also hands-on work.Data warehouse design, ETL and ELT development. Proof of concept of migration to Azure data factory (with cost estimation) and proof of concept of using Airflow in the different scenarios of migrating from SSIS to a cloud based or an on prem based data warehouse solution. Design and supervise development of event driven pipelines in python using azure automation account and event grid.Technology used: Azure Sql database, SQL Server, SSIS, Python, azure functions, azure data factory, blob storage, key vault, kusto queries, GitHub, GitHub actions, azure event grid.Currently working on migration all pipelines to on-premises Airflow.
