Over his 23+ years in software and finance, Erik has contributed to tech successes like 3esi and Cortex, executing deals worth more than $60 million. In 2018 Erik learned that 97% of food companies still track safety and quality on paper. He saw an opportunity to differentiate the food supply chain through data. The first step was for food companies to shed their antiquated methods, adopting software to create data-driven control for food safety and quality. Erik founded Provision in 2018 to solve this problem, relocating to Copenhagen for the mentorship of food transport titan, Maersk. Since returning to Calgary, Erik has grown Provision to USD $2mm in CARR.
