ABOUT ERIK VANLEEUW
I feel most grateful for the moments in my life where other people helped me growing by genuinely listening, supporting, encouraging, but also challenging me to learn from new ideas, insights and perspectives. It helped and still helps me to find my own path, to see the bigger picture and to be successful in personal and professional life. I received a lot. I want to give a lot. That\'s why I\'m always looking - as a manager and as a leader - for opportunities to help other people grow in their personal and professional roles. I do so by facilitating them to ask their own questions, by creating learning environments where they are challenged to open up to new ideas, insights and perspectives. I\'m convinced that by doing so I cannot only help people, but also their business or organization to become more successful. I\'ve been working as a journalist and editor-in-chief, developing and managing programs for social, cultural and personal training of university students and in more recent years I developed in-depth expertise as managing director in the healthcare sector. I\'m passionate about topics like talent management, personal coaching and processes that facilitate resilience and creative, innovative and sustainable behaviour at the workplace. I also like to explore the synergies between the worlds of business, spirituality, CSR, social and ecological innovation and I find myself reflecting and reading a lot (and sometimes also speaking and consulting) about communication processes in organizations, organizational design and change and leadership development. I am a fan of lifelong learning. I studied press and communication, religious studies, philosophy and cultural sciences. I obtained an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) at the Vlerick Management School. My in-company project focused on organizational design and change. I read, I look around and keep my eyes and ears open because learning is crucial.
