ABOUT ERIK KONICKE

Growing up, I always wanted to be a leader and lead the charge for something bigger. To leave the world better than I found it. As an Eagle Scout, Troop leaders repeatedly told me to leave the area better than I found it, and that resonates with me to this day. Though the context I was given was that this was in a cleaning form, I quickly realized it meant much more than that. It signified leaving an impact on others, significantly affecting all of them. From ensuring every Scout had a smile on their face, leading events that were once thought to be impossible, raising funds to new heights to light the spark of imagination, and collaborating with all those around me to ensure my Troop would be in a better place than what I found it in. Starting my career in sales and business development seemed nearly impossible at the start. I was tasked with developing a store from the ground up. From developing products, establishing production methods, understanding inventory systems, writing Project Charters and Gantt Charts, and most importantly, raising sales. I took what I learned as an Eagle Scout and started by thinking about how I could impact everyone in the best way possible, and that\'s precisely what I did. I led the charge and, in two weeks, generated $2,700, saw smiles from the individuals who purchased the products, and blew away any quotas established by the administration. At the end of this period, I knew I wanted to take this to the next level, blow past any quotas, and ensure smiles in every area of the business process. You will find me developing my sales and business development skills at Colorado State University, where I\'m currently seeking opportunities to further these skills across campus. From representing over students on the College of Business\'s Dean\'s Student Leadership Council, analyzing future facility projects with the University Facility Fee Advisory Board, running a podcast for the Marketing Association, to advocating for students\' voices with the Accredited Students of Colorado State University. No matter the stage of my life, I\'ll always be there to lead the charge on something bigger to build a better tomorrow and to leave the area better than I found it.
