Erik Kerr is a visionary leader, who was at his wit’s end watching family members and friends loop in and out of addiction treatment, prison, and mental health challenges. On the one hand, he saw a booming tech industry filled with promising tools and innovations. While on the other, he saw an accelerating mental health crisis supported by transactional solutions and systems.In 2017, he founded LifeTraq, a patent-pending gamified technology platform dedicated to improving the human condition. Kerr is an innovator who brings comprehensive research, integrated with solid data, to the design of unique, one-of-a-kind systems that ultimately improve outcomes. LifeTraq is built upon the principle that nobody should be without hope; data and technology have important roles to play in supporting the healing process of those who suffer. LifeTraq’s technology provides assistance to those who struggle with addiction and mental health issues, including those in and out of state corrections programs. LifeTraq provides critical program and compliance tracking to ensure accountability and transparency within the judicial system. Kerr’s ability to fill critical gaps in the marketplace by employing in-depth research and a novel approach has enabled him to solve problems while bringing people together in unexpected ways. He founded and hosted the Global Healing Addiction Summit, which was virtually attended by over leading experts in the addiction field looking for creative solutions, and serves on the Communications Leadership team for the Grand Stigma Challenge, an effort supported by the Huntsman Mental Health Initiative, seeking to help those marginalized and struggling.He is an avid outdoorsman, alpine climber and is constantly seeking adventure in mountains around the world. He and his wife are the proud parents of four boys. They are long-time residents living an elevated life in the great state of Utah.
