My work focuses on defects in batteries that cause cell performance degradation. One branch of the work focuses on reproducing the defects repeatably so we can better understanding the nature of the degradation. The other branch works to develop non destructive testing methods to quantify the defects and identify cells with defects before they leave the plant. Together these tasks seek to help make better batteries, at higher rates, for less money, that are also safer for our customers.project management - research - process monitoring for quality - gas analysis - inline inspection methods - data analytics - process modeling
