About Erik Huemiller

As a team player and high-tech problem solver, I want to have a hand in building a bigger and better technological future. My track record of delivering technologies to production that generate step improvements in performance show the positive impact I can make on the bottom line. Areas of Interest: industrial internet of things (IIoT)- data analysis - process monitoring for quality - battery cell manufacturing (system level optimization, process modeling, quality verification, formation and test)- ultra-precision manufacturing (precision positioning, environmental stability, process improvement, error reduction)- scientific instrumentation (x-ray optics, scanned probed techniques, thin film deposition)- applied superconductivity (quantum computing, superconducting electronics, TES sensors)Technical Skills: root cause analysis, analog electronics, control theory, geometric optics, thin film deposition, materials characterization, quantum computing, agile work environments (SCRUM), prototype development, product development, mechatronics, failure analysis, data analysis, technology validation, advanced manufacturingSoftware Competencies: Python (pandas, scipy, numpy, matplotlib, plotly), MATLAB, Solidworks, LabView, Origin Pro, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe IllustratorFluent in spoken German, working proficiency in written German

    General Motors

Mar 2023 — Present · Warren, MI, US

My work focuses on defects in batteries that cause cell performance degradation. One branch of the work focuses on reproducing the defects repeatably so we can better understanding the nature of the degradation. The other branch works to develop non destructive testing methods to quantify the defects and identify cells with defects before they leave the plant. Together these tasks seek to help make better batteries, at higher rates, for less money, that are also safer for our customers.project management - research - process monitoring for quality - gas analysis - inline inspection methods - data analytics - process modeling
