Supervise the Cost Accounting Team who provides accurate costing and inventory valuation for the company. Perform analysis of financial and operational data and results. Analyze cost trends, make recommendations in support of new product development and provide direction on asset utilization. Apply principles of advanced cost accounting to determine, analyze and report the operational and financial results of business activities including production costs, cost of sales, product costs, and plant throughput. Collaboratively work with business partners to analyze changes in product design, supply chain strategies, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs. Assess operations to determine cost accounting impacts and recommends, develops and maintains solutions to business. • Lead the development of standard costs in Oracle ERP system. • Develop manufacturing allocation of labor and overhead. • Plan, direct and coordinate cost accounting activities to ensure accurate accounting of cost of sales, margins and inventory in the Company’s financial records. Responsible for reconciling, researching, problem solving and resolving discrepancies in related financial records. • Responsible for reconciling physical inventories and financial records to ensure accurate inventory costs and valuations. Directs and manages the physical inventory process. • Analyze manufacturing product costs and prepares variance analysis of differences with standard and budgeted costs. • Maintain standard cost system, labor analysis and reporting, cost and analysis of variances for outsourced products & production. • Develop and maintains labor/overhead standards and prepares accounting for overhead absorption. • Provide guidance and direction on changes in cost accounting methods. • Review and analyze manufacturing costs on an ongoing basis. • Serve as primary financial liaison between Finance, Engineering and Manufacturing related to manufacturing operations.
