ABOUT ERIK BERTRAM
I am a theoretical astrophysicist with a strong passion for modern computing technologies. Currently, I serve as Vice President at SAP within the BTP Experience organization, where I lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, User Assistance developers, UX designers, and user researchers. In parallel, I hold a professorship in Applied Mathematics and Stochastics at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Heidelberg. My academic and professional interests span a broad range of topics in both theoretical physics—including astrophysics, cosmology, quantum field theory, and string theory—and computer science, with a focus on cloud computing, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence.
