ABOUT ERIDA PAILAS

Hello/Olá! I\'m Erida. I specialize in localization and adaptation of content across various assets. I\'m a native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese and fully fluent in English, with personal and professional experience living and working in both countries. I have five years of experience translating and managing translation projects, and I’m currently earning my master’s in Localization Project Management at Middlebury. In my graduate program, I’ve worked on game, website, software, and A/V localization, applying string extraction, text adaptation, cultural evaluation, and using technical tools to support localization workflows. I’m a creative by nature: a short story, poetry, and lyric writer, singer/performer—you name it. Give me a project that blends cultural nuance, storytelling, and technology and you’ll find me in my natural zone. I’m currently building my portfolio, which I’m designing and localizing myself. It’s a work in progress—kind of like that “Excuse our appearance, we\'re under construction” sign at your local subway station. But unlike the subway work, mine is actually moving forward.
