   Save The Children is a global non-profit committed to eradicating poverty for all children around the world. I am blessed to contribute to such a power mission! My role as Lead Associate (formally known as a Literacy Program Specialist) allows me the opportunity to provide technical and training assistance to 11 schools across 6 districts in the North Mississippi Delta. These schools provide instruction to more than students. In this position, my primary responsibilities include training program coordinators on the delivery and instruction of one of 5 literary programs that focus on the areas of phonics and phonemic awareness. I am also responsible for building, tracking, and amending 11 budget budgets totaling more than I oversee a staff of coordinators, tutors, and sponsorship liaisons. I meet quarterly with superintendents and principals to ensure quality program implementation. A major responsibility of this position includes data-driven decision-making. That is, putting a narrative to the numbers - and formulating an action plan to address the deficiency. Finally, I provide reports and perform grant-reporting activities on multiple multi-million dollar grants including but not limited to TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) and 21st Century, a federal education grant. I also provide strategic support to start-up sites which includes hiring, onboarding, and training.
