About Eric Sirkin
Eric Sirkin is a Talent Acquisition Leader, Speaker, Author and Legal Studies Graduate Student I’m a seasoned recruiting professional with 20+ years of experience connecting top talent to high-impact roles across aviation, engineering, and corporate environments. I’ve built a reputation for leading full-cycle hiring, building recruiting strategies from scratch, and supporting overwhelmed teams with flexible, scalable solutions. Whether I’m consulting as a fractional recruiter or embedded in a corporate setting, I bring a proactive, people-first approach that delivers results. Now, I’m channeling that same energy into a new path: I’ve enrolled in Hamline University’s ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate Program and was also accepted into their Master in the Study of Law (MSL) program. This dual-track legal education is a continuation of my commitment to supporting organizations through compliance, structure, and clear process. I’m particularly drawn to employment law, business law, and the intersection of legal operations and talent management. As a speaker, and author I bring together military leadership, corporate HR expertise, and now legal education to share practical insights on hiring, culture, compliance, and high-performing teams. My journey—from E1 in the Navy to Chief Petty Officer, from recruiter to legal student—is proof that reinvention is possible, and that real leadership is grounded in adaptability and purpose. I run a newsletter called Now Hiring: The Truth—a no-fluff space where I write honestly about what’s broken in hiring, how work actually works, and why candidates (especially veterans) deserve better. Every week, I publish real insights from inside the recruiting world—plus a new interview series called What the Job Posting Didn’t Say, featuring people telling the truth about their jobs, either anonymously or with full visibility. Some are career stories. Some are warnings. All of them are useful. I spent over two decades in the Navy and another chunk of my life in corporate recruiting. I’ve been hired, fired, laid off, and promoted. I’ve seen the best and worst of hiring from every angle—and I’m building this platform to make the conversation more honest and more human. My goal: A few people saying, “I’m glad someone finally said it.” Let’s connect if you’re looking for a partner, need support, interested in telling your story or just someone who’s walked the path of transition and knows how to navigate change.
