ABOUT ERIC KLEIN
Dr. Eric Scott Klein earned his Ph.D. at Old Dominion University in Community College Leadership and is a full-time professor of social work at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Eric’s research is always considered through a lens of expanding access to education to marginalized populations. He is also the former Coordinator of the Northampton Community College Collegiate Recovery Program, and co-designer of the CRS certification course. He is honored to be the Northeast representative on the Association of Recovery in Higher Education Board of Directors. Eric is an advocate for community colleges, people in recovery from a myriad of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health diagnoses, educational access, and for the LGBTQIA+ community. Eric is in the process of writing a book on collegiate recovery. He is also a former opera major at Carnegie-Mellon University, and still sings professionally every weekend #theatrerock. Eric prefers the pronouns he, him and his.
