Hello! I\'m Eric Rumsfeld, and I am an early-career data analyst seeking to pursue my love of problem-solving in a role that allows me to take ownership of my work and grow as a data scientist.I graduated recently with a Master of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UC Irvine. There, I worked with Dr. Steph Sallum to model water ice in circumstellar disks. Such explorations have implications for volatile delivery to rocky exoplanets and may explain how Earth came to have water.For my undergrad, I attended Wesleyan University and double majored in Physics and Astronomy with a minor in Data Analysis. My academic passions were fueled by my love for expanding the horizons of my knowledge as well as pushing the forefront of humanity\'s knowledge through research. I was a part of the Disk Detectives Research Group under the leadership of Dr. Meredith Hughes for 3 years, probing what can be learned from the Milky Way\'s gas-rich debris disks.In less formal contexts, I am obsessed with learning about the world\'s geography and cultures. Recently, I have been collecting old maps and am empowered by learning languages every day. I have poured most of my time into learning Spanish, but I am attempting to keep my Chinese skills and have been investigating Arabic as well. I would love to become fluent in all 3 languages someday.
