ABOUT ERIC OLESEN

I help organizations understand their workforce, anticipate what is coming next, and make confident decisions that improve performance and employee experience. My career sits at the intersection of organizational science, advanced analytics, and HR strategy where I build Workforce Intelligence ecosystems that translate complex data and human behavior insights into clear, actionable direction for senior leaders.I have led enterprise workforce planning, predictive analytics, and strategic insights functions for large organizations and have partnered directly with Chief HR Officers, business executives, and HRBPs to modernize decision making. My work includes building predictive models, designing workforce planning frameworks, developing engagement and experience research, and creating scalable analytics products that make it easier for leaders to act on insights. As a former Principal in People Science consulting and now an Associate Vice President leading Workforce Intelligence, I bring a blend of consulting discipline, research rigor, and product minded thinking. I focus on what drives talent outcomes, how workforce shifts will shape the future of work, and how organizations can use data in a way that is ethical, practical, and aligned with strategic priorities.Alongside my corporate work, I teach HR Analytics and Workforce Strategy at the University of Southern California where I develop future HR leaders and advise on the Applied Analytics program. Teaching keeps me grounded in research and pushes me to translate complex ideas into clear and useful tools for the next generation.I am most energized by building high performing teams, enabling HRBPs and executives to use data with confidence, and creating insights that help organizations stay ahead of workforce, labor market, and technology trends.
