ABOUT ERIC OMMUNDSEN
Eric Ommundsen leads the team overseeing British Columbia\'s international intergovernmental relations advancing B.C.\'s interests around the globe. Prior to this role, Eric was Managing Director at Innovate BC, engaged in technology scale up projects at Vancouver International Airport, the Port of Vancouver and the Port of Prince Rupert with companies including General Fusion, Marine Labs, A&K Robotics and Gitxaala Environmental Services. Over the past decade his work in domestic and international business development, government relations and investment attraction has taken him to Japan, China, South Korea and across North America. Eric previously led strategic business growth programs with companies in the resort and hospitality sector, building alliances with partners including Nike, The North Face, Volvo and Coca Cola. For his leadership Eric was recognized with Intrawest’s Leading through Strategy award and was a finalist for the Mentor Award at BC’s Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development, and Innovation.In the course of his work Eric has been a speaker at events in Tokyo, Vancouver, Guangzhou, Halifax and Victoria and has been interviewed by publications including The Globe & Mail, Marketing Magazine, AdWeek, The Toronto Star and Strategy Magazine, as well as many broadcast outlets. Eric is an avid sailboat racer and cruiser in B.C.’s Gulf Islands.
