ABOUT ERIC LOVETT

I am a third-year medical student at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. I am pursuing a career in ophthalmology. I grew up in Ithaca, NY in a single-parent household with my mother and little brother. My hobbies include watching and playing sports, collecting trading cards, and building things with my hands. My passion for medicine began late in high school when I was in the New Visions Health and Medical Careers program where I was able to shadow a number of different roles in the hospital. My interests took me to Union College where I studied neuroscience and women’s studies on the pre-med track. During my time at Union, I also studied childbirth and national healthcare systems in seven countries. Upon graduating from Union, I matriculated to Clarkson University and got my Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management. Now I look to continue to gain valuable experience while also continuing my studies in Buffalo, NY. My anticipated graduation from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is in May 2026.
