ABOUT ERIC LEGAULT
Over the last nearly 30 years of my career in the software business, I have specialized in Microsoft consulting, developing unique solutions, bringing products to market and evangelizing technologies. I have also dedicated myself to carrying the flag for Microsoft Office and M365 development, from COM add-ins through to the new web-based Office for JavaScript add-ins and the Microsoft Graph platform and integration with SharePoint, Azure, Microsoft Teams and Power Automate. I was an MVP for Outlook and Office Apps & Services from 20••••19 and am now an MVP for M365 Development, and have been widely recognized as an expert with rarefied experience developing messaging, document management and information worker solutions. In the last 15 years as an independent consultant, I have helped many companies and startups develop innovative products, such as for Anaqua, Inventive, Tessian, Newforma, ContactMonkey, Stratelyze (Asana), RealTime Software, s.a.x. Software, the Outlook Appins product line (for Apptius Computer Solutions), Colligo, EPM Live, Hexigo, Folloze, KnowBe4, YouGROW CRM, Redback Connect and many more.I am especially enthusiastic building and releasing commercial software products to market, and have amassed extensive experience including product planning, marketing, support, branding, technical evangelism, community building and Shopify Ecommerce implementation. These skills were honed through my roles not only as an independent consultant, but also as the VP of Developer Evangelism for Add-in Express (the premier provider of developer tools for Microsoft Office) and as the Product Manager for Outlook Appins where I created, marketed and managed a suite of over 15 add-ins.My writing experience includes authoring the Outlook chapters in Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Step By Step from Microsoft Press, as well as articles for MSDN, Microsoft Office Online and Windows IT Pro magazine and as the technical editor for books on Outlook, SharePoint and Access.
