As a trained IB French teacher, I’ve had the privilege of teaching and designing engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences for both MYP and DP (French ab initio) students. With over a decade of classroom experience, my mission has been to foster not only linguistic competence but also intercultural awareness in line with the IB learner profile.I am the author of six published French textbooks, including the recently launched DP - French TextBook - a comprehensive, IB-aligned resource tailored specifically for French ab initio students and teachers.Key Projects and Achievements:Developed and authored 20+ thematic chapters based on the 5 prescribed DP themes (Identités, Expériences, Ingéniosité humaine, Organisation sociale, Partager la planète), each designed to reinforce:Paper 1 (Writing)Paper 2 (Reading + Listening)Individual OralCreated MYP workbooks with differentiated activities supporting Phases 1 to 3, integrating reading comprehension, guided writing, and ATL skills.Designed task banks and unit planners aligned with IB rubrics, concept-based learning, and global contexts.Trained and supported through workshops and curriculum implementation tools.Produced learner-friendly resources that mirror IB assessment formats and promote student agency.Whether through authorship or classroom innovation, my goal remains the same: to help students develop confidence, curiosity, and cultural literacy in French.
