Experienced application developer, solutions architect, infrastructure engineer, systems administrator, and team leader with over twenty-five years’ experience primarily in the pharmaceuticals industry. I am comfortable working in both regulated and non-regulated environments, and have a solid understanding of FDA and EMEA regulations and policies. I am also comfortable working in a global environment across multiple regions and timezones.Most recently my day-to-day responsibilities include all things AWS, Azure, cloud infrastructure, automation, infrastructure-as-code, continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure, network and solutions architecture, and security. My toolset included Java 8 and 11, Maven, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Sonatype Nexus.Previously, I was an application developer and development specializing in Java/J2EE technologies. I have a thorough understanding of MVC (Model 2) web application development using Apache Struts, EJB, Spring Framework, and Hibernate ORM persistence using Oracle RDBMS databases. I have a strong working knowledge of common design patterns: Command, Factory, Adapter, Singleton, Strategy, Facade, DAO, and Visitor.I\'ve also done web development in PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, and NodeJS. I have an in-depth knowledge of Drupal and WordPress CMS platforms. I have a working and practical knowledge of the Laravel framework.I am experienced with agile development methodologies of Feature Driven Development (FDD) and Scrum and am a big proponent of peer reviews of code.I am always interested in new projects that are on the cutting edge and pushing the envelope in their associated industry.
