Technical Manager for the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Timberwolves broadcasts for the past four years. Working closely with production teams and crew to set up, operate and teardown of technical gear used to produce a quality broadcast. Averaging roughly 90 events on site per year.• Technical Manager for “Hockey Day Minnesota” for the past eleven years. Responsible for managing a team of approximately 60 freelancers and five vendors simultaneously. Each event included up to five hockey games and 16 hours of on-air broadcasting in one day, originating from multiple locations. Earned multiple Upper Midwest Regional Emmys for Best Live Sports Broadcast.• Strong understanding of the principles of television electronics including, HD, SD formats, Video Acquisition, Transmission methods, Signal routing, RF Frequency Coordination, Lighting, Media Recording and management, Television audio and communications systems.• Knowledge of show creation with ability to create over 500 Remote Tech Books annually for all Bally Sports North and Wisconsin broadcasts containing critical information for each individual show such as transmission, crew lists, equipment needs, contact information for production teams ensuring an accurate and thorough guide for every broadcast, allowing rapid communication when needed on site.• Proven leader able to communicate clearly and manage people effectively. Responsible for equipment technology and procedures to implement to each show efficiently and effectively.• Key resource for implementation of the IATSE Union Contract, involving payroll and scheduling for approximately 150 freelancers, internal questions, and issue resolution. • Established solid working relationships with all Bally Sports Operations Departments across the country, creating a national network of contacts to support and resolve issues that occur in the execution of our productions. Leveraged these relationships to quickly troubleshoot or update equipment and crew when requirements change, in real time. • Evaluate existing equipment needs and recommend new purchases based on upcoming production requirements. Research all product and purchasing options to ensure Bally productions are cutting edge while maintaining budget integrity. • Pivotal in the creation, evolution and testing of the FACTS payroll and tracking system used nationwide by FOX Sports and FOX Sports Regionals to accurately and simply schedule, pay and report all resourcing costs for every event.
