I am business litigation partner at Holland & Hart and recently finished a term managing the firm\'s Salt Lake City office.My practice is focused on helping companies resolve their most important disputes, including trade secrets, non-competes, professional liability, breach of contract, shareholder and corporate ownership, fraud, cyber liability, and intellectual property. I specialize in “bet the company” disputes, when significant corporate interests are on the line. I have also provided counsel to a variety of companies in the health care sector, giving strategic advice on regulatory, structural, and legislative issues. For a number of my clients, I have acted in an outside general counsel capacity.My approach to providing legal counseling is custom tailored to every client and every matter. I help companies make an early evaluation of risks to anticipate possible contingencies and strategize on how best to resolve the case in most efficient manner possible. As part of my duties managing other lawyers, I provide insight to clients on how best to maximize the use of lawyer teams. I take satisfaction in helping companies minimize their legal spend, including the use of alternative fee arrangements and phased budgeting.
