ABOUT ERIC FEHSE

I am a psychologist with a love for computers. My profession - brings both topics together: creating digital systems that fit into people’s lives, help them accomplish their goals and are even fun to use. I feel that at Zühlke we seem to have a knack for attracting people that are - and on top of that, you get to meet many inspiring colleagues working for our clients. This made me realise what I enjoy almost more than creating great products: working together with talented people who put collaboration and results first. Out of this insight grew another one, by - 🪴 being a coach or a mentor - giving others their share of the spotlight - admitting mistakes and creating a safe space for others to learn - leading by example - encouraging others to be coaches themselves - 🧗‍ growing myself in doing so I am more than happy that coaching and mentoring is one of the pillars of the ü, our new Learning and Development Platform. Some further principles embodied in the Zühlke Growth Mindset are- Continuous intentional learning with a focus on learning on the project - Goal-setting and planning our growth journey - Giving and receiving honest and constructive feedback Having a broad range of interests is a good foundation for helping others grow. Some further topics I’m passionate about are: self-organisation, lean-agile product management, sustainability, languages, history, hiking and biking, cooking and music (I play the bass guitar and experiment with electronic music).
