ABOUT ERIC DESOBE

Over the last 20 years working in talent acquisition, strategy planning, and project management I’ve developed a philosophy about what it takes to create organizations with the best people. You should talk to me about it.In that time, I\'ve- Managed a large team through full-cycle recruiting for approx. 150-200 roles a year- Designed equity-driven sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes for C-suite roles- Spearheaded marketing and communication plans - Designed and facilitated hundreds of learning and professional development sessions- Host the talent and recruitment podcast called At This Time I honed those skills through: five years as an elementary teacher in Compton; through 10+ years working for KIPP SoCal Schools, the highest performing school network in CA, where I design the systems and manage the team that recruits, trains, and supports our teachers, emerging leaders, and executive level professionals as we grew from two schools to 20 and through three years as Director of Talent at Great Public Schools Now where I created and managed over 30 talent grants worth approximately $15M.Building the progressive movement in Los Angeles is important to me as well. Since 2010 I worked with New Leaders Council Los Angeles to provide leadership development and networking opportunities to the city\'s best young leaders in education, law, politics, entertainment, and other sectors. I ran the Governing Board and chapter from 20••••19 and rejoined in that role in 2022, which meant designing and facilitating 60+ all day sessions to train the next generation of progressive leaders. I also supported curriculum design for all NLC chapters across the country and hosted the NLC podcast called The Zag, which has posted over 400 episodes.I also served on the Del Rey Neighborhood Council for 8 years, which allowed me to serve my community of nearly people.
