As a Business Development Manager within our Food & Agriculture sector we collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and businesses in more than 30 countries to enable the acquisition of equipment, technology and software that companies need to contribute meaningfully to their communities. We believe in partnering with our customers to develop innovative and sustainable financial solutions that deliver meaningful value to the world.As a BDM, I support and grow the Southern Alberta and BC region of our agriculture sector as well as all of Canada (excluding Quebec) for our golf and turf sector. I do this by identifying and pursuing sales opportunities and building commercial contacts in order to realize sales objectives including new business volume, margin, penetration rates and profitability through the following practices- Maintain and strengthen existing partnerships and serve as a primary point of contact- Identify and create new relationships by leveraging DLL’s value proposition- Develop and deliver proposals and quotes- Manage all transactions and communicate with appropriate parties as necessary- Establish strong internal relationships to effectively and efficiently process business- Create presentations and communication collateral for external and internal use- Train partners on available products, processes and the use of systematic tools- Involve all relevant expertise (risk, operations, legal, etc.) to structure and close deals- Report on business activities and highlight relevant trends- Travel as required to meet partners and attend trade shows and industry events- Define, monitor and achieve commercial targets and goals
