ABOUT ERIC CHERRSTROM

Eric Cherrstrom is Sr Director of Strategy, Execution, and Pricing for the Flash business unit at Western Digital. I am responsible for Strategy/Portfolio Management, Business Planning, Supply Allocation, Corporate Pricing and Governance, Cost Management and Business Analytics. My current responsibilities focus on both long term and near term horizons. In the long term, I analyze our strategy and how WD can deploy our engineering resources to intercept the most profitable markets. In the near term, we focus on providing price guidance to our business teams and ensuring that the supply we have is allocated to add most value to the firm. To facilitate both horizons, I am constantly working to refine processes, improve reporting, and develop sophisticated models to enhance our decision making and execution. Having been a key participant in both the Western Digital acquisition of SanDisk. and also an internal re-organization for WD\'s largest BU accounting for 80% of the revenue, I\'ve worked cross-functionally to redesign critical processes that enabled clarity of roles and responsibilities for the company. Prior to my role with in the Business Unit, I spent many years in various Finance roles: BU Finance Planning & Analysis and Manufacturing Finance.
