ABOUT ERIC CANALES

Senior Mortgage Advisor, Eric Canales was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Lawrence, MA with his sister and three brothers. If you wanted to find Eric in his younger days your best bet was on the basketball courts at Boys and Girls Club. He attended Lawrence High School and went on to study at Bunker Hill Community College, graduating a couple years later with his associate’s degree in business and organizational leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. In 2020 Eric officially entered the mortgage industry by accepting a position with member services at St. Mary’s Bank, which was the very first credit union in the United States. “I already knew how to use genuine rapport to build strong relationships, but educating our members to better understand their finances and managing expectations went on to become my edge as a mortgage professional.” At MSA Mortgage in 2024, Eric performed every part of the mortgage process from origination to post closing, specifically helping Spanish speaking borrowers. He made his move to become part of the Province Mortgage Associates team so he could focus on what he does best, helping borrowers and homeowners succeed! “I’ve seen it all when it comes to the mortgage process, and I am always ready for the unexpected. My extensive experience has helped me to evaluate borrower qualifications on a higher level to better coach my clients towards homeownership.” Eric enjoys turning non-believers into believers, ineligible borrowers to eligible clients, and living the phrase… We did it!
