ABOUT ERIC BOEHLING
Graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, after which I worked and lived at a wilderness facility counseling delinquet youth through Eckerd Family Youth Alternatives. No other experience has been more beneficial to my work in Employee Relations. After obtaining my MBA from UNC-Greensboro I was provided an opportunity as a Recruiter with Vanguard Cellular. Following this initial introduction to formal HR, my wife and I joined the Peace Corps in Slovakia where my Human Resource skills expanded through working with students transitioning from a Communist (they liked to call it Socialist) form of government to a more capitalist form. Not your typical Peace Corps tour but a good fit for me. Upon return stateside I worked in a law office and with a hedge fund before landing another Recruiter position at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC in 2002. Several promotions later, including a transition to Employee Relations, I worked as a Human Resources Business Partner from 20••••20 focusing primarily on incorporating my strong HR Operations knowledge and relationship building skills to best integrate HR with the goals of NHRMC. As New Hanover affiliated with the much larger Novant Health, I have again transitioned fully back into Employee Relations within all of the Novant Health North Carolina markets.
